dacata, correct me if I'm wrong but in BON's literature they discuss utilising known dredging technology that is proven to 600m depth. I assume that UCL would come to look at the same technology as 600m capability would be more than required?
Not disputing that there are challenges with underwater mining but I presume the uncompacted nature would an advantage for both BON and UCL and may even offer some cost advantages compared with some onshore miners.
I'm looking forward to seeing more info on this sort of stuff now that I'm been propelled into phosphate mining!!
