The $9/bbl is the cost to keep the pump running and the oil/gas flowing in the pipe. The energy cost for producing 1 barrel oil is 1/10 barrel oil on global average, and 3/10 for the Canadian sand oil. That cost for WPL used to be $16 when oil at near 100, no surprise it is 9 now while oil at 50.
If anyone follow me in the past 12 months, he/she would notice that I bought WPL first in the darkest days for oil, then bought a lot ORG. When I saw a bit light in the tunnel, I traded WPL for STO. Now, I hold both org and sto, and more weight on sto. No doubt that wpl is the best breed, org is the second, but sto may have more upside, imho. All of them will be good long-term holding for the sake of dividents once dark cloud passes.
