NBN is still in some kind of turmoil, with business leaders calling for cost-benefit analysis, etc. It seems to me there is another three to six months of public discussion around that before Australia as a country is fully committed to the more ambitious versions of NBN.
We've had quite a run. I personally would be quite happy to see SSM establish a firm base above 37 cents. Zooming above 50 cents and particularly if we move above 60 cents leaves us open to a very large reversal if NBN gets scaled back. It would be bubblicious, but a bubble still the same.
Once NBN is firmly defined and funding is approved, SSM becomes a rocket ship.
