If you scratch beneath the surface of Amazon, you will see two things:
1. Suppliers (sellers) are moving away from Amazon as its becoming too hard to compete with their ever increasing fees, changes to listings and preference deals done with larger businesses. Also the prices of Amazon products are increasing where there are whispers everywhere that people are now going to Target, Walmart, Kmart etc to buy goods as its cheaper there and they can touch it.
2. Amazon is bleeding money with their growth mantra, which works great but as its a Ponzi scheme they will have to become profitable before they run out of growth (like Tesla).
The hype about Amazon is like the Hype about Walmart all those years ago - Its much ado about nothing but a great money maker if you trade their shares
