Optus generates about half of SingTel's revenue, and its result helped the parent to net profit of $S1.92 billion ($A1.42 billion) for the half, up 6.6 per cent.
Geee there must be money in broadband BUT will Optus want to share it with Opel (Elders) or maybe look for a partner thats has alot more to offer....who could that be Austar Wimax spectrum rings a bell. I bet there would be some big money to be made out of that Wimax spectrum.... WHAT Austar got both the 2.3GHz mobile and the 3.5GHz fixed.....Seven now has 42% of Unwired and may beat Optus to Austar.... Where does is leave Elders and Amcom???
