The thing is the cost of running an EV is already 1/10th the cost of an ICE. The remaining difference is the up front capital. That will come down and hit the capitulation point. Will be interesting to see if the Saudi's for example are prepared to drive the price of oil down to $5-10 per barrel to stay cost competitive. We know they can survive at $20. They would need Petrol to be under say 15c / L here in Aus.
I think I've read somewhere (it may of been increasing fracking in the past) it's a plan but I'm surprised the USA isn't going full renewable to break the shackles.
