Just tried it out, actually pretty good. Way faster than the click to chat on AMP super, and much better than phoning a call centre of course. It's very clear to me now I was chatting with a human on AMP before.

I only asked simple questions which I almost certainly would have been able find out anyway on the REST website. But I still liked the experience. Early adopters of this tech are going to save heaps on labour costs.

The potential problem I have with Roger ( the REST virtual assistant ) is that he seems very capable on answering simple questions but I can't tell how well do at complex questions and also initiating tasks for the customer. It's useful saving call centre staff time by answering the simple questions, but as a customer the main reason why I would phone a call centre is to get something done, not just answer questions. To me the big money from this will help customers get something done either by guiding them through the steps or doing it for the or even starting the task and getting a human to finish with a seamless transfer from virtual to real assistant.
