Now the equivalent coin uses 9yrs worth of energy for the same coin. globally bitcoin consumes some 129-terawatt hours annually equivalent to Finland's entire energy use... a recent U. N report states that globally bitcoin uses 45% of its energy requirement from coal and 21%natural gas..mindblowing numbers and with the onset of AI much more energy will be required.
