I think they already have. The one big advantage of the Alpha site is it has water - the trucking distance is not too far to the new site so it is probably fine.

The likelihood that the Alpha site was ever the best site was always pretty low. In an ideal world MUS would have had the cash to explore their leases fully before they started trying to mine (i.e. do what GEM did), but in the absence of US$30 million (like GEM had) they had to do what they could with what they had. So many problems would have been avoided if the market had supported MUS upfront, but this is now history.
