10 years down the track, the travel industry is booming with budget airline. More people are flying even in the times of high oil prices. You cannot stop efficient progress because the economic metrics of doing business in a capitalistic society are such that it will find the most economic route to the objectives, ie base load supply with little green house effect and no artificial tax to punish carbon emitters. As they say "you cannot have your cake and eat it".
