Approximately 50% of the $$$ from power use goes into NSW govt coffers.
Well more really, but around 50% soon to be when they sell off endeavour energy.
Not sure NSW "will follow" as you put it.
QLD already uses large scale battery storage in and around load areas during peak demand.
