Paprika... Guildford Coal announcements are riddled with inconsistencies.
The road, if it was constructed in a straight line would be 101 kilometres from the centre of the lease that contains the East Pit to Ceke. This road does not exist.
The road from the South Gobi mine owned by Turgoise Hill is 60 kilometres to Ceke. This road is sealed. If Terra Energy have done a deal with South Gobi to use this road they would still need to construct a road 90 kilometre long from their Noyon project to Ovoot. You can check this using Google Earth.
If Guildford management have recently inspected any works or road in the Southern Gobi I have not seen the announcement.
Road construction and particularly sealing is not done in the winter in Mongolia. The conditions are too severe for people and machines.
With respect to ETT, they mined 3.7 million tonnes in 2012. They share a sealed road with Energy Resources which goes to China. Their delays have been caused by lack of finance and a contractual fight with Chalco over the price of coking coal.
Your comments about snouts in the trough are well worth considering and close to the mark.
