Yes Terry, the licenced Karmichaels (as LongNow named them earlier) are trying desperately (and succeeding) to frustrate the market price. But they can't do that forever, the pressure will eventually level the price out where it should be, or would be if they just let market forces rule.

My reading of most of the regulars here indicates that they are in for the long haul, and like me as a long term holder, the day to day games, although a little annoying, don't really impact too much.
