You miss the point. The Secret Service did a great job based on split second evidence.
The mob attacked a registered Republican who was not a Trump supporter. The "he's got a gun" was likely the simplest method to get him evicted. Trump is all for the 2A & open carry, just not at his rallies.
A contrary opinion does not make the protester an agent provocateur.
