You are not clueless, probably the best poster on this forum. The net asset figure of $1,256,773,000 I used in previous posts which is at page 91 of the 2024 Annual Report includes "intangible assets" of $111,093,000. A full description of these assets is at page 111 of the annual report and includes amounts for patents, trademarks and goodwill.
My opinion net tangible assets per share remains at $1.74.
Another completely different angle to estimate a takeover price is to simply adopt the EPS for the next 12 months at .26 cents and say you want a 10% return. Thus the purchase price based on these two criteria would be $2.60, which is similar to the $2.30 I calculated using the previous asset backed method.
Lets all forget a takeover, we need improved Earnings Per Share which takes into account sales, costs, margins, market share, everything really.
Keep in mind a few years ago EPS was about .40 a share, now the forward estimate is .26 a share. Terrible performance. But I remain positive.
