Every new sub the US builds always has improvements.I believe the sea wolf is the next version of the virginia class. But whats important as u suggest due to technology changes the US is obviously developing drone subs,Australia following US submarine developments was the only option,the suffren ok but they r busy producing their own fleet. ps will be interesting the US crews require approx 160,the suffren 65 similar to collins .?160 crew thats a lot.But it was suggested by an expert we only need 4 US nuclear subs plus a couple of conventional and throw in some drones to have a superior se asia fleet.
