Oil had a perfect storm where in February the Saudi's decided to have a war with Russia. Within weeks, the Corona virus hit and don't you know it, OSH have capital raise to dilute the existing share holders capital.
If I were you, I would sell when oil prices over correct, meaning that Saudi's have curtailed production and the supply can't meet demand in the world and oil prices take of to $60 a barrel.(i'm Sounding like Nolan).
Make your decision on oil price not on how much profit you have made.
If you are worried about protecting your gains, if you averaged in at $2, sell half your shares at $4 plus and keep the rest as your bounty.
Trust me, there is no magic formula for investing and sooner or later you work out, its your greed than is your biggest enemy.

I am definitely letting it run for now... havent sold any stocks that I bought in the $2s...
i was actually waiting to let it go back to $6-$8 before selling out, but yes you are correct... I am watching the oil price to see where it is heading.. $60/bbl definitely sounds good

oil price was hovering about that pre-covid from memory
