There is an absolute flood of new childcare centres being built in Melbourne. I know of one developer who has 4 recently built centres catering for up to 150 children. He has more sites waiting to go.
I have no idea about Sydney but I would expect it to be similar to Melbourne. So my gut tells me with increasing supply, changes to government subsidies almost upon us and low wages growth forcing families to wait on having a child or seeking grandparent help that this sector may struggle over the next couple of years.
I sold out at $4.07 some time ago.
Will dabble again when the dust settles
