Only difference is there is not the swollen river systems that cause mainland havoc for access etc....., So yes, still have to stop operations and bunker down for any approaching cyclones and then the clean-up of any damage afterwards depending on the severity. Ports are shut down if in the projected tracking and any ore carriers are sent to ride it out in the open sea.
