I work for Air NZ,this would have been an administrative slip up,when a new aircraft is added to the fleet,as in ZK-NZK or ZK-NZL,the new registrations should have been added to the Chinese authorities previously approved documents,there has obviously been a slip up and has been picked up by an eagle eyed Chinese administrator...and in this business,if the paperwork isn't correct,the a/c don't fly.
