It is indeed interesting to speculate, as several here are doing, on what impact the situation with ORG is having on AGL’s share price. A fair size fall in AGL today…perhaps in response to the ORG board recommending acceptance, and therefore less chance of MCB changing targets. However, I wonder if that’s the wrong way to look at it. I suspect that once the ORG takeover is finalised, a lot of ex-ORG shareholders are going to reinvest their takeover bounty directly into AGL creating demand for AGL stock. It could be useful for us holders to do some adding between now and then, before that effect occurs.
