Delivery costs have been slashed over the last year or so as they have moved from twice to once daily deliveries. Also they have reduced overheads by moving almost entirely to contractors eliminating costly fleet maintenance.

They need to be cautious with negotiotions with delivery firms as the key component needs to be reliability of deliveries. No problems here in South Australia as they pride themselves in getting it all there on time. A few weeks ago they sent out an employee with a single urgent delivery because it had missed the courier. One of their employees will often drop an urgent item (or something Sigma did not have) on his way home.
