Not everyone can trade based on technical analysis and be profitable since technical analysis is a zero sum game. Saying that people ought to only trade technically is not just wrong it is a reflection of a moral hazard present in this game. Technical traders need suckers to come in and play their game, the more people trading on sentiment the more people who are experts on trading on sentiment are able to take from them.
