Average down can work sometime, just like technical analysis can fail sometime too.
I won't berate one or the other. What you need to keep in mind is whether a stock is worth holding; if it is not, dump it.
In technical analysis, it means breaching a certain signal.
In fundamental analysis, it means all the data pointed to bad sign or you lose faith in the management.
What I then want to know is, The Captain, which signal you used to get the entry signal for CNX?
I am interested in both methods, I used both, so would like to get an idea.
