My make on it is that there was no work for them. I believe they changed their attitude about a year ago towards smaller projects and that the current sackings are because of no work for the men. Of course it cuts costs when you don't have work for people that you used to have work for. It also flags falling revenue.
I'm biased. I'm short and I think that the stalling of the ASIC investigation of the company's behaviour will end soon enough and the actions against the company for huge damages for misleading the market will get underway. Nice line up of big players taking them to court and the company will pay if it loses. How much? $100m plus legals? Who knows? I don't but I do know that there are dark clouds around.
