its maybe worth keeping in mind US has a holiday tonight
that pretty much leaves the asx's preferred client base - the algorithmic traders - with a free run to push stocks one way to day and then push them back tomorrow with no interference
ASX was down significantly today - yet looked like the only exchange suffering that way that I could see
i think what you are probably seeing is a combination of forecast aud weakness restraining buyers - and the manipulators playing around to further depress sentiment.
ill never forget apr-May 2011 - asx took a major dive despite economy being good - because offshore buyers withdrew capital from this market
thats why asx constantly underperforms - its an optional market for offshore investors and they move in and out on a pretty pronounced basis
yes - its a joke we allow it. but there you have it. 40% of funds in asx during full investment are from offshore apparently
