Gas prices rocket higher as fears of shortage build
Wholesale gas prices in Sydney have surged to their highest for more than a year, as fears build of a shortage in supplies in the south-eastern states this winter that could hit manufacturers hard.
Prices on the short-term market soared to $28 a gigajoule on Thursday in the NSW capital, forcing industrial gas users that buy from the wholesale
