interesting.. appears international papers is looking for a buyer for its 50.5% stake in chh. any eventual buyer will be taking a majority stake in chh and quite possibly offer a cash payment for the remaining listed stock.
i can't come up with a company likely to take the lot though. maybe international papers under consultation with carter holt will sell the company as seperate assets to interested parties?
"CHH is committed to ensuring the market is fully informed and maximising value for all shareholders"; obviously chh isn't just sitting on the sidelines watching.
either way, chh holders are sitting pretty atm.
