MDP, Take your point but there is only so much that can be seen from the outside no matter how cosy it all is through the appointment process. I'm image they have been well briefed on the co outlook across a bunch of factors but from a command and control point of view a prudent senior exec would want to be holding the controls when he says "now tell me all that again and answer these extra questions now I am in control". There is virtually no down side for the new mgmt to wait until they are happy and some downside from haste. Sure we are fizzing at the bung-hole for another +ve ann but life is long and a couple of weeks will not make that much difference one way or another.
