2. How did you go about the maths on this theory of yours Lux? Trump has a 145% Tariff on China. In order for your funny theory to work Chinese manufacturers would need to provide a 60% discount to American importers in order for the landed price to remain the same. Do you think that when Apple decided to outsource the manufacture of iPhone to China they agreed to pay a 60% premium or even a 20% premium on each one made for them? Manufacturers can't cut margins that they don't have. If they aren't making money there is no benefit in sending the product. Simples.
