Well Lux, given that Trump did a quite amazing backflip over the weekend for the moment my money would be on the market being dragged kicking and screaming into the green by tech companies waving their get out of gaol free tariff exemptions around going yippeee. However there is still time for him to do more fundamentally stupid sh1te before the US market opens on Monday so its too early to say for sure. Since rules no longer apply anything can happen and 24 hours is an eternity in la la land.
The more backflips he does the more its likely to recover in the short term however uncertainty will flow through over coming months. Longer term I'm worried that the dinosaurs will come home to roost as the inevitable truth about US finances come to light.
My comment on Friday was "Could go either way today. Trump could just back-flip again and issue some BS". Sure enough some seemed to know he was going to do another backflip on tariffs and it went green before he even blurted it out. But if you want to take that as a win then good for you. You deserve it now Manuel isn't there to mow your lawns any longer.
