O'Brien was brilliant! Showed the libs for the mealy-mouthed irrelevants they've become. They've done nothing but squirm in their seats so far. Wishy-washy non-committal rhetoric, instead of firm views on something -anything!
O'Brien tried to make Nelson confirm or deny that the Libs have no idea about when they'll start getting serious about Carbon trading. Nelson hummed and huhed, instead of coming straight out and admitting, "no, we cannot put a date on it." No probs, people would have understood that but he kept waffling, trying to see if he can get away with not making that admission. Eventually, he came out with the favourite responses that all uncommitted politicians use: "We've got to get it right..." Oh, eventually, maybe, perhaps... we might even think about it... but in the meantime, we've got to dodge the flying knives!

I haven't seen one interview with Nelson where he appeared confident, comfortable and where he had something sensible to say. He always seems to be watching over his shoulder, trying to dodge some knife or other.

I agree, you need "someone who knows what they're talking about..." and I just can't see anyone around in the LIB ranks at the moment; and, of course, while this continues (this lack of talent) recruiting numbers will dive. Who'd want to join a bunch of untalented, unintelligent, circus performers? Unless, of course, you're a clown!

Divorce is Nelson's style. First the ALP, then the ear ring, then the wife, then the Howard policies... Come to think of it, I don't like him much meself! lol
