I accept what you say however, you misunderstand me.
I am not suggesting that you are lazy if you dont succeed.My parents worked their butts off and never had any luxuries. I come from a labor background and was once a staunch supporter.
The point is it wont come to you.You dont have to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth to achieve an expensive car.
We are fortunate to live in a country of opportunity for all.
We also live in a country of the tall poppy syndrome and petty jealousy of anyone born with money, or those who get themselves above the pack.
Many, but not all, labor supporters i come across wont go the extra step to achieve, but will knock anyone who does

The problem of over taxing is self defeating.Higher salaries will be the rigueur to offset the tax.To suggest that those on $300k etc will be happy to part with more tax is naive.
There are no doubt many who are worse off than you,therefore you should be happy to help them with more tax yes ?
The bar just keeps rising.
