Billy, i agree that LCT is very much a drop in the ocean which would also mean the inflationary issues associated would also be minimal. Also your other points display great logic but i suppose i don't really object to some symbolic gestures if this means the Government will follow it up with some meaningful change to the tax system to bring greater equality. By way of greater equality i mean low to middle income earners not just what you call the poorer folk. The PAYE folk shoulder a huge amount of country's tax burden and a net decrease of 2-3% for those under $55K is not going to make a huge difference. The question is has the current goverment have the courage and conviction to follow through on this issue.
