The Morcombes could have been "given closure' much earlier if QLD Police had paid proper attention to the interview conducted with Cowan, I believe in 2004/5 where he stated that he had driven past the bus stop while going to collect a piece of machinery. There was a forty minute hole in his account of his whereabouts at the time, which was not followed up by police.
