Compensation won't come from Etrade. And personally I would not accept compensation as that is basically saying you are satisfied with the compromise. If you want compensation of sorts, you need to seek it through external action against Etrade I would think. They will not admit liability under any circumstances. Walk away, take you business elsewhere, write them a letter, make records of conversations, emails, send the letter through registered post, and mark it private and confidential. Then seek legal advice if you really want to take it further, but in most cases it would be fruitless anyway. Certainly don't continue to hand them money for poor service. That is the most stupid thing anyone could do.
