Well another brewing Icon gone from the state. First Lion Nathan snaffles up Small world brewing and now announces the closure of WA based Swan brewing.
The result? Gage Roads is now the largest Australian owned brewer in Western Australia!
The statement from GRB management that they would be the 5th largest brewer in Australia in 5 years seems to be comming true, if only by accumulation by the big brewers reducing the opposition.
On another tack it is pleasing to see the steady increase in the SP, 7 cents is holding well and volumes are good, brace fore a nice ride.
Why did a major shareholder sell 10,000,000 shares recently ?
I suppose if I picked up a bundle of rights at 1 cent each a few years ago, the chance to realise a half million dollar profit at todays price would look very tempting.
