Polls just closed. There is no exit poll, as pollsters say models would not work as no precedent. Last referendum was 1974.
However, YouGov have just announced the result of their polling day poll, where they went back to the same 5000 voters they polled yesterday to detect any change. The results are:

YESTERDAY:
Remain 51%
Leave 49%

TODAY, POLLING DAY:

Remain 52%
Leave 48%

So statistically, as a one off, too close to call. But almost certainly, this shows momentum to Remain campaign has won the vote and UK remains in EU. Global markets, commodities, Sterling, risk assets will get a boost, gold a hit - risk ON.
