    I don't see why you're linking brexit and Australia becoming a republic. The first has serious economic implications, the latter is more about some feel good hate the Queen notion.

    I was once upon a time in favour of a republic(I intensely dislike the idea of royalty by birth right) however I'm no longer on that side. I'm now of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality as I see nothing to be gained if they get it right and a lot to lose if they get it wrong.
