I agree yet disagree to a degree....lol Its not about competing with the Chinese as much as providing a product that is far superior in quality to the throw away crap that's produced in china...Look at Germany for example...But of course the average Aussie n Kiwi would rather purchase cheap n nasty to save themselves a dollar in the short term yet removing capabilities to compete on the global stage in the longer term...Most here on HC understand that (even the leftist sympathisers are capitalist's here otherwise they'd not be investors).

The best we can do now is protect our own nest's as the Global economy revolves from one third world nation to another...
