    I feel you are comparing ripe apples to rotten oranges.
    Subsidizing manufacturering has benefits to do with keeping knowledge and skills in Australia.
    Subsidizing fossil fuels doesn't have those benefits, and has all sorts of environmental costs.
    Subsidizing logging, if it is sustainable from timber plantations can have both knowledge and environmental benefits compared to logging overseas and transporting the timber here.

    Should the Govt offer to subsidize FBR HX manufacturering.....yes!
