You like to believe in BRICS because you have an anti-American world view and believe the current system is unfair, that's basically what the video stated. You don't understand how economics actually works, economics doesn't give a crap about fairness, it operates on scale and efficiency, going against these principles can occur but it is done at a cost. BRICS will be unsustainable in the long run. Just like within the EU, joining economies together via a common currency causes them to loose autonomy. The US trade system because each country is supposed to have a currency that floats relative to the US dollar and the US economy is so big it doesn't swing wildly due to trade.
Go read "Global Minotaur" and "And the weak suffer what they must" by Yanis Varoufakis. Then you might understand why global trade needs the US but the US doesn't really need global trade, just trade within North America.
You watch light weight YouTube videos that talk about fairness not economics but claim I don't look past headlines.
