    Niger and most African countries are economic basket cases. Who in their right mind would invest in Africa, a continent with a long history of coups, rebellions, dictators, massacres and failed states?

    Zimbabwe and South Africa are classic, former economic powerhouses, now economic backwaters, chokka with corruption and poverty.
