'Civil Contractor Brierty Limited (ASX:BYL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Crofts as the Company's new Chief Executive Officer'.

'Since 2005, Mr Crofts has been Executive General Manager of United Group ResourcesPty Ltd, a division of United Group Limited, where he has responsibility for a peak workforce of 2,500 and annual revenues of approximately $300 million'.

'Mr Crofts will take up his new position at Brierty within the next 3 months'.

'Brierty Chairman Dalton Gooding said Mr Crofts would bring to Brierty a wealth of industry knowledge, with particular expertise in risk management and project delivery'.

"Stuart has an exceptional background of experience with a proven track record of building and managing large and complex organisations, whilst delivering successful outcomes throughout his different leadership roles," 'said Mr Gooding'.

"Stuart has spent 18 years in international general management positions and we are delighted to have someone of his calibre on board.

Mr Crofts said he looked forward to overseeing the profitable expansion of the Brierty business.

'Mr Crofts assumes the CEO role from Company founder and Executive Director Alan Brierty who has stepped down from the senior executive position to concentrate fully on the operational side of the business'.

'A process engineer by profession, Mr Crofts has worked in a variety of roles for international engineering and construction groups, including Stone and Webster, Worley and United Group'.

'His 26 year career includes experience at all stages of major profect developement as well as operations and maintenance support working with major clients such as BHP Billiton, Woodside, Water Corporation, Alcoa and FMG'.
