A by-product of Alreco's recycling process is a salty solution which ideally should be distilled in an evaporation pond to extract the salts for re-use.
My fear was the council would not approve the pond if it bordered on farmland. Other posters said, "Don't worry there are salt ponds across the road".
Well, I have found MHM's planning application and their proposal is neither of the above.
MHM will be pumping the brine a 1km away to land on Hays Rd (NE direction) This site is away from existing active ponds and does not border on farmland (farmer will be happy).
