Hard to be patient when you see the other half of the demerged entity power ahead leaving ITG in its wake.
One can only wonder if there’s bad news in the pipeline.
The AFR had an article on the weekend titled “Highway to fake construction testing revealed”.
It basically said that labs that test roads have been faking results. Fraud was said to be partly linked to cut-throat industry competition. "Labs were bidding for work at prices so low it was uneconomical to complete tests without skipping steps, while some were bowing to contractor pressure, government and industry sources said." They said it's a known problem within the industry, but with little exposure in general.
"Another industry source said directions in one testing company had been written by upper management on Post-it notes for staff to change density results. The numbers were then altered on databases. That company did not answer queries from AFR Weekend".
Would be nice to see ITG take advantage of this and get some additional voluntary audits done and claim the high moral ground…
