Abbott is using this stupid cowardly weasel tactic because he knows he wouldn't be getting any tough questions from the political journos that he knows he hasn't got any answers for! All he had was three word slogans - "stop the boats", "dump the carbon tax", but now he's got absolutely nothing - ZIP!! It was a smart move by Rudd - it's pulled the carpet right from under him and he's not got a clue which way to go now, but, he will have to face the music sooner rather than later, and that will lead to his demise, simply because he's got nothing to offer (not that he had anything to begin with)
