I thought the sell-off was due to stromg US economy, not weak US economy. Bad for expectations of increased liquidity due to interest rate cut, but good sign for global growth hence resources.
Low US unemployment equals greater consumer confidence, equals more sales of stainless steel woks, equals better price for BHP shares. No?
