You need consinstency.
The majority of members seem to agree that Goblin is good for Hotcopper, therefore we shouldn't try and change Goblin, we should change Hotcopper's moderation rules.

Hotcopper will never be : Example of high-brow forum

By all means, let's keep Hotcopper on-topic, cut-out the swearing, low-content etc, but there is no need to change the things that made Hotcopper famous : the irreverence, the sledging, the creative flaming etc.

We are not the MCC members enclosure of the stock-forum world folks. We are Bay 13. That's why people read it, and that's why Hotcopper features daily in the mainstream press. They never quote Top-Stocks and Share-scene, do they?
