Agree we need cheap labor so we can compete when value adding to our resources and we have timor who i am sure would appreciate the work,especially in agricultural nothern processing facilities eg canning operations,cotton sugar mill,abattoir etc where no australian would want to work.

Just way to much common sense for the various sides of our politics to accept not to mention the unions even if it means no processing plant would be built.

Going to be very interesting to see if the chinese do get 'their 'FTA and are able to grow sugar on ord 2 scheme they bought,process the sugar in the facility they built, use their own home grown chinese work force to work ord 2 and sugar processing facility then export produce back to china at cost so they pay no company tax and probably through an australian northern port they build which would make a nice home for their naval fleet.

will the unions be allowed in lol,if they are would probably be put through the processing facility and shipped back to china as fertilizer.

Above just seems the biggest joke if it wasn't true.
